At the end of last year Makefast sponsored Kelda Woods’ solo Trans-Atlantic rowing expedition. We are overjoyed to announce she has made it safely to the Dominican Republic!

Kelda, who is disabled, completed successfully her voyage from the Canary Islands in her boat the Storm Petrel. She was taking part in the Talisker Whisky Trans-Atlantic Solo Race along with a number of other brave folks. Kelda is raising money for several good causes, but primarily for ClimbingOut.org.uk, the charity she set up in 2010 that runs 5 day outdoor activity programmes aimed at rebuilding confidence and self esteem in young people facing life changing injury, illness or trauma.
